Responsibilities Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ensures fulfillment of pharmacy prescriptions in an automated central fill pharmacy to maintain a continuous workflow and meet daily production and quality goals. Utilizes automated repackaging system for unit dose from bulk product; maintains label requirements, expiration date management, and storage requirements. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or equivalent Pharmacy Technician License (IDFPR) Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through PTCB or NHA required for all licensed after 2008 (within 6 months of hire or sooner if required by IL pharmacy practice act) Preferred 1 year experience in a micro fulfillment or mail order pharmacy Physical Requirements And Working Conditions Will occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance Must be able to stand for the majority of the workday Must have functional speech, vision, and hearing Will be exposed to chemical hazards; must wear protective clothing as needed Northwestern Medicine is an equal opportunity employer (disability, VETS) and does not discriminate in hiring or employment on the basis of age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, gender identity, veteran status, disability, sexual orientation or any other protected status.
