Senior Accountant

Position SummaryEnergy Transport Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing logistics company. The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, maintaining balance sheet schedules, and ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger. This role plays a key part in the month-end close process and helps maintain strong internal controls and compliance with U.S. GAAP.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, payroll, and other recurring entries.Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure tracking.Maintain lease accounting schedules and related journal entries.Analyze general ledger accounts and investigate unusual variances.Prepare bank reconciliations and assist with cash reconciliations.Assist with intercompany reconciliations and transactions.Prepare supporting schedules for external audits and tax filings.Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.Assist in documenting and improving accounting procedures and internal controls.Support ERP system enhancements, testing, and process improvements.Partner with operations and other departments to resolve accounting-related issues.Perform other accounting duties and special projects as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting required.3–6 years of progressive accounting experience.Experience in transportation, logistics is preferred.Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Sage Intacct or similar ERP system preferred.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Preferred SkillsMulti-entity accounting experience.General ledger and account reconciliations.Audit support.Process improvement and internal controls. #J-18808-Ljbffr FIASCO ENTERPRISES LLC
