Laboratory Supervisor, Third Shift, Core Lab Department UC Health is hiring a full‑time Laboratory Supervisor for the core lab department at West Chester Hospital. Location West Chester, OH, United States Qualifications Minimum required: Associate's degree in clinical laboratory science or medical laboratory technology. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science or medical technology. Certifications: MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or MLT(ASCP). Minimum required: 3 – 5 years equivalent experience. Responsibilities Supervise lab department including personnel and workflow. Ensure timely delivery of all pre‑analytic, analytic, and post‑analytic services by monitoring pending orders (LIS, HIS, pending reports). Perform duties of TA/Medical Technologist, including specimen processing and testing as workflow dictates. Serve as primary contact for all new employees to coordinate training. Develop new hire training packet, assign department‑specific training, and ensure completion before solo work. Ensure proper communication of lab support functions with all associates. Actively participate in staff department meetings, including daily shift huddles. Conduct lab support meetings in support of the Lab Administration team when indicated. Assist Lab Director/Manager with performance improvement activities. Consult with internal and external customers to assess needs and ensure patient safety goals are met. Recommend and implement changes to work processes in coordination with technical staff. Assist Lab Administration with CAP regulations, including policy/procedure review and compliance, adherence to employee safety regulations, and employee file maintenance. Participate in interviews and provide recommendations for hiring associates. Conduct ongoing assessment of TA and medical technologist performance. Conduct ongoing assessments, annual performance evaluations, and corrective action as indicated. Provide management support by overseeing PTO requests, scheduling, time/attendance reporting, timecards, and inventory monitoring. Other duties as assigned.
