Position Purpose

The Assistant Home Shopping Manager supports the Home Shopping Manager in leading the daily operations of the Home Shopping (Drive Up & Go) Department. This position helps ensure the efficient fulfillment of customer orders, exceptional customer service, operational excellence, team development, and achievement of sales and productivity goals. The Assistant Home Shopping Manager plays a key role in maintaining order accuracy, on-time fulfillment, and a seamless online shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Order Fulfillment

• Deliver exceptional customer service and promote a customer-first culture.
• Ensure online orders are selected, packed, staged, and delivered accurately and on time.
• Resolve customer concerns, substitutions, refunds, and service issues promptly and professionally.
• Support customer satisfaction initiatives and monitor customer feedback.
• Assist with curbside pickup and customer order handoff as needed.

Department Operations

• Assist in overseeing daily Home Shopping operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor order volume and allocate resources appropriately to meet service level expectations.
• Ensure order selection standards are consistently met, including product quality and freshness requirements.
• Support scheduling and labor planning based on forecasted business needs.
• Monitor department performance metrics and help implement action plans to improve results.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of Home Shopping equipment and technology.

Team Leadership & Development

• Assist with supervising, coaching, and developing Home Shopping associates.
• Provide daily direction and support to department team members.
• Help train associates on customer service, order fulfillment procedures, and company standards.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
• Assume leadership responsibilities in the Home Shopping Manager's absence.

Inventory & Quality Control

• Ensure accurate product selection and substitution practices.
• Monitor inventory conditions and communicate availability issues to store leadership.
• Help reduce shrink through proper handling of merchandise and operational controls.
• Verify that perishable products meet freshness and quality standards.
• Assist with inventory management initiatives and operational audits.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, and operational procedures.
• Promote a safe work environment and ensure associates follow safety standards.
• Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and equipment safety.
• Support loss prevention and shrink reduction efforts.
• Participate in operational reviews and compliance audits.

Merchandising & Business Growth

• Support initiatives that increase online sales and customer engagement.
• Assist with implementing promotional programs and digital shopping initiatives.
• Monitor key performance indicators related to order accuracy, productivity, customer satisfaction, and sales growth.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
