The position involves working in a Behavioral Health Unit focused on adult patients aged 18-65. The average daily census for the unit is approximately 7 patients with a ratio of 1 nurse to 6 patients. Candidates must have experience in managing patients with anxiety, depression, manic disorders, borderline personality disorder, and suicidal ideation. Successful candidates will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Required immunizations must be completed within the last 12 months. Candidates must pass a background check, including criminal and child abuse assessments, before starting. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, with the potential requirement to float to nearby facilities. Candidates are expected to wear scrubs in any color and must adhere to dress code policies.
