Patient Registration Specialist

Job Description Summary The Specialist, Patient Registration is responsible for facilitating new patients’ transition to Option Care Health services with the goal of delivering a consistent onboarding experience where patients and referral partners feel Option Care Health makes it easy to transition care. The Specialist works in conjunction with Sales to prepare patients for OCH services and facilitate all aspects of the patient’s transition to home/AIS. Job Responsibilities Engage with patient, referral source, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery. Create, communicate, and obtain all required documentation for new referrals. Secure patient’s upfront payment including assisting patients to find avenues for payment where needed and directing them to financial assistance programs. Support ongoing activities needed to ensure clean claims on hold and denial management, including follow‑up on missing paperwork. Assist the Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed. Education and Experience High‑school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum of two years of related experience is required. Qualifications Ability to multi‑task and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Detail‑oriented with a high degree of quality focus. High degree of customer service skills required. Ability to troubleshoot, problem‑solve, and collaborate with cross‑functional team members across sales and operation functions. Travel Requirements N/A Preferred Qualifications and Interests Previous healthcare/medical billing experience preferred. May perform other duties as assigned.
