Duties

Provides comprehensive, safe and effective nursing care to patients admitted to inpatient medical-surgical levels of care.

Documents initial/ongoing patient assessment and plan of care.

Makes quick and accurate assessments in the care of acute and chronically ill patients.

Identifies and manages life-sustaining physiological functions in unstable patients.

Has knowledge of normal and abnormal findings and reports findings.

Has knowledge of telemetry, hemodynamics, phlebotomy, basic IV and central line skills.

Educates and/or monitors the patients regarding procedures, treatments, and discharge information.

Attends code blues and rapid responses as needed.
