Welder

The primary purpose of this role is to take direction from the Welding Supervisor and Manager and provide guidance to junior welders in the fabrication and verification of quality for company’s base products using documented specifications. Essential Functions: Perform TIG welds on stainless-steel products with very fine and thin gauge materials. Qualify and adhere to project specific welding procedures. Utilize general use equipment to roll, form and cut materials for use in production. Use tape measures, calipers, feeler gauges and other related measuring equipment to perform quality inspections on department production ensuring dimension, strength, and other related aspects are within tolerance specified in blueprints. Coach less experienced welders to strengthen skills and allow for growth within department. Demonstrate positive teamwork interactions within own and other teams. Follow safe work practices, and policies at all times. Listen to and follow instructions from welding supervisor and manager to learn and grow fabricating skills. Report issues to welding supervisor. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. 3 – 5 years TIG welding experience. Ability to read and fully understand technical drawings (blueprints). Ability to read and fully understand welding symbols. Ability to perform basic to advanced TIG welds with thin gauge (18 ga) to ¼” thick materials. Ability to independently manage and prioritize assigned work. Ability to weld exotic materials such as Hastelloy, Duplex, Super Duplex, and others. Good listening and communication skills Good attention to detail. Interest and ability to learn and grow in the welding trade. Mechanical aptitude. Ability to work to deadlines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
