Structural Engineer

An established structural engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Structural Project Manager to join its growing Miami office.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural engineering projects from concept and design development through construction administration.
• Lead the analysis and design of concrete, steel, masonry, and other structural systems .
• Work on a variety of building projects, including mid-rise and high-rise structures throughout South Florida.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate structural design with architects, contractors, owners, and other engineering disciplines.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and deliverables.
• Attend client meetings and serve as a primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and other construction-phase documentation.
• Perform site visits and provide engineering support during construction.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Support proposals, client development, and continued growth of the Miami structural practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Approximately 6-10+ years of structural engineering experience , preferably focused on building structures.
• Strong experience with the design of concrete and steel building systems .
• Experience managing structural projects and coordinating directly with architects and clients.
• Knowledge of Florida Building Code and applicable structural design standards.
• Experience with structural analysis and design software commonly used within the buildings industry.
• Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred , with Florida licensure or the ability to obtain it considered a significant advantage.
