Director of Surgical Services Surgery Department International Falls, MN

Shift: Monday Friday, 8-hour days

Employment Type: Permanent
License/Certifications: Minnesota RN license, BLS, ACLS (required)
Experience: At least 3 years in a surgical department; management experience preferred
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field
Preferred: CNOR certification, Master's degree in Nursing or related field
Pay & Benefits
Salary: $95,000 $135,000, based on experience
Benefits: Medical, Dental & Vision with HSA & FSA options; PTO; 401(k) with company match; Life & Long-term Disability insurance
Relocation: Negotiable
Sign-on Bonus: Negotiable
Paid Placement Fee: 20% of annual salary; agency payout based on 30/60/90-day milestones, contingent on employment status and client payments
What You'll Do
- Provide strategic oversight of the surgical department, including pre-op, PACU, OR, and central processing
- Manage daily operations ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize patient care and workflow
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation agencies
- Lead outpatient clinics including orthopedic and general surgery outreach
- Maintain staffing, resources, and supply chain in alignment with hospital policies
- Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
What You Need
Required:
- MN RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in surgical services
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field
Preferred:
- CNOR certification
- Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field
- Management or leadership experience in surgical settings
