About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in nursing License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Minimum 13 weeks of Epic experience Med-Surg/inpatient rehab experience Description: The rehabilitation facility is a free-standing, acute inpatient rehabilitation setting. It offers specialized programs for individuals who have experienced strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries. The goal is to help patients achieve their highest level of recovery and return home as soon as possible. The facility strives to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those served through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs. The facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF-accredited for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program. The nursing role functions closely with patients requiring high acuity rehabilitation services. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:7, and all nurses are expected to assist with patient safety by answering call lights and supporting the care team. Staff members are required to take 30-minute breaks and will have two 15-minute paid breaks during a 12-hour shift. Nurses may be required to float to a nearby facility in the future as needed. Attendance and punctuality adherence is essential, along with the understanding that staff must not stay beyond scheduled shifts unless approved. The equipment used includes mobility aids, vital machines, EKG machines, and computers for charting. The patient population consists of adults needing rehabilitation services with high acuity needs.
