These increasingly challenging assignments will provide foremost an effective learning assignment and then a sound intellectual and/or financial return for the PCC organization.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES· The student will apply principles that he or she has learned in school to hands-on situations, such as program development for PCC use.· The student will be responsible for accomplishing performance goals and will receive progressive responsibility throughout his/her co-op experience.· Will identify and fix computer and network problems.· Student will attend a weekly departmental meeting.· Will take ownership and responsibility for identified projects.· Participate on project teams for some assigned projects.· Work within specifications provided to meet project goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner.· Participate with peers, project team members, and other departments on new product development, product line extensions, and product enhancements.· Will have to work with network and server equipment.· Student can expand responsibilities into computer programming or controls, at their interest.QUALIFICATIONS· Knowledge of computer hardware· Basic knowledge of computer networking· Proficient with Microsoft Office· Good writing skills and interpersonal skills· Knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, VB 6.0, C#, or VB.Net is a plus· US Person Status requiredEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS· Full-time student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.· Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher.ADDITIONAL SKILLS· Strong analytical skills; possess the ability to work through technical issues.· Action Oriented· Drive for Results· Customer FocusOTHER BENEFITS· Co-ops will be paid $25.00 hour /40-hours a week- Monthly housing stipend of $1,000 (requirements must be met to qualify).· Given top priority for future co-op rotations and full time positions./*generated inline style */ All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran./*generated inline style */ Relocation Relocation is authorized for this position./*generated inline style */ This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
