Job Summary:

Preferred Care MI is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse Unit Manager to join our team in Bay City, Michigan. As a Registered Nurse Unit Manager at Preferred Care MI, you will play a vital role in leading and managing our nursing team to deliver exceptional patient care and achieve exceptional outcomes. Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants to provide high-quality patient care

• Develop and implement unit-based policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans that meet the individual needs of our patients

• Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching and mentoring, and identify opportunities for professional development to enhance team performance

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify and address areas for improvement and implement evidence-based practices

• Maintain accurate records and reports, including patient flow and staffing data, to inform unit operations and patient care decisions

Requirements:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan

• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising and mentoring nursing staff

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
