The New Jersey Institute for Disabilities (NJID) is one of the largest not-for-profit agencies of its kind in the nation, providing services to infants, children, and adults with developmental and related disabilities. We are currently hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist residents with developmental disabilities with activities of daily living in a residential setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist and/or supervise in activities of daily living skills
• Administer or assist with prescribed medication
• Light housekeeping
• Assist with transportation
• Assist in the implementation of individual goals and objectives
• Data entry using Therap (EHR)
• Assist residents in the pursuit of recreational, social, and community activities based on their preferences and individual plans

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent
• A valid driver\'s license in good standing and must be insurable through NJID\'s automobile insurance
• Strong communication skills
• NO certification required

County: Middlesex
Hours Per Work Week: 16
Weekly Work Schedule: Sat. & Sun. 10am-6pm

Other shifts are available at this location. NJID has full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities in Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Somerset Counties.
