Registered Nurse - Psychiatric

This is a psychiatric nursing role in a detox program that provides 24-hour nursing care to monitor an individual's withdrawal from alcohol and/or other drugs and alleviate symptoms. Clients are provided with the medical and emotional support that they need during one of the most pivotal stages in the recovery process. The role will have similar expectations as a school nurse and will be considered part of the leadership team since they are partnering as a program. Will not be passing medications.

Contract Duration: 20 weeks

Start: Immediate

Pay Rate: $60.00$62.00 / Hour (USD)

Shift / Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM2:00 PM; weekends as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Records and reports all observed symptoms, reactions to treatments, and changes in patient safety status
• Administers medications to patients
• Collaborates with team in providing health information and maintains clients' medical records
• Responds to patient care needs/issues and assists patients with activities of daily living, promoting a positive therapeutic environment
• Assists with the admitting, discharge, and transfer process
• Participates in treatment team meetings and assists with development of care plans

Education Requirements

• Valid and current Massachusetts licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required
• Current CPR certification required

Required Experience

• Experience with addiction treatment services preferred, but not required

• LOCALS ONLY Local candidates required for this opening.
• BILH Separation Requirement: Must be separated from BILH system for 6 months before returning as permanent, per diem, or travel staff.
• Submission Requirement: 20 weeks BILH coversheet required at time of submission.
