As a top-rated organization, we foster an inclusive, collaborative work environment where innovation and patient care lead the way.Job Summary:The Service Specialist (SS) provides essential administrative and clinical support to ensure a positive patient experience and efficient daily operations. The SS performs general office functions, including patient pre-registration, registration, scheduling, multiline phone management, and patient greeting/check-in. The Service Specialist serves as a central communicator among patients, therapists, and physician offices, ensuring timely and accurate communication throughout the patient care process. This position also includes Gym Tech responsibilities, which involve assisting therapists with patient care, maintaining a clean and organized treatment area, monitoring supply inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining required modality temperature records.The Service Specialist is expected to demonstrate professionalism, accuracy, timely communication, teamwork, and a commitment to providing excellent patient experience. The position requires the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining accurate registration, scheduling, documentation, and communication processes.Key Job Responsibilities:· Participate in scheduled 1:1 meetings and other required staff communications.· Accurately and timely completes timecards.· Consistently utilizes AIDET principles during patient registration and interactions.· Contacts patients within one hour of receiving a referral.· Schedules patients within 24 hours of receiving a referral.· Completes Experian requirements in a timely manner.· Ensures insurance information is accurate and complete at the time of registration, as determined by Revenue Cycle standards.· Maintains standard work processes, including completion of PSA Daily Tasks on scheduled workdays.· Performs and documents scheduled maintenance tasks.· Monitors inventory and orders necessary clinical and office supplies.· Completes required registration audits.· Greets patients and assists with patient check-in and registration.· Manages multiline phone systems and directs calls appropriately.· Communicates effectively with patients, therapists, physician offices, and other members of the care team.· Assists therapists with patient care and Gym Tech duties as needed.· Maintains cleanliness and organization of treatment areas.· Maintains required modality temperature records and other applicable documentation.· Performs other duties as assigned to support efficient clinic operations and patient care.Job Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent RequiredInsurance experience Required1 Year Related Experience PreferredWith more than 3,500 team members, Maury Regional Health is an award-winning, not-for-profit regional health system committed to serving the healthcare needs of southern Middle Tennessee.Why Maury:· Certified Great Place to Work ® 2026· Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement Plans & PTO (For benefit-eligible positions)· Educational Assistance, Tuition Reimbursement & Career Advancement Navigation opportunities· Employee Discounts and more…
