Requirements for Assistant Manager position

• Strong Barista and cooking experience.
• Must be willing and able to work a rotating schedule, that could include opening or closing the Café, and including daytime, evenings, or weekends up to 40 - 50 hours per week.
• Must have a strong record of achievement in the food service industry.
• Manages and delegates daily functions of the café including prepping product, cooking food and blending smoothies, serving customers, and completing daily and weekly cleaning duties.
• Responsible for sustaining daily sales volumes while identifying local marketing opportunities to actively increase restaurant revenue
• Leads and coaches Shift Leaders and staff during each shift to ensure brand standards are upheld.
• Manages the brand experience, including hospitality, quality control, and speed of service.
• Ensures all safety and security policies are being followed as set by the brand.
• Monitors sales growth and cost control of the store against the budgeted expectation and historical performance to maximize profitability.
• Ensures equipment is operable to execute brand standards.
• Drives servsafe compliance and proper food handling procedures.
• Performs any additional tasks necessary to run the Cafe.
• Helps to recruit, interview, hire, and train new Crew Members to ensure the café is staffed at the appropriate level
• A valid Food Safety Management Certification is REQUIRED
• Must be able to learn and take turns opening & closing the cafe.
• Must be able to take turns working evening shifts, which may include taking turns working weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday & Sundays)
• MUST be able to pass a background check.
• MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE and reliable transportation
• Must live close to our Cafe, with less than a 35 minute commute.
• Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a VERY fast-paced work environment
• Willingness and ability to continuously stand, clean and walk throughout the duration of each shift.
• Willingness and ability to bend, lift, climb a three step ladder, and carrying up to 40 pounds to perform duties like stocking, refilling ice, or taking out trash
