Registered Nurse Clinical Research

We are hiring a Clinical Research Nurse for a growing multi-site organization, focusing on pulmonary clinical trials. Prior clinical research experience is NOT required. Position Overview We are seeking a Clinical Research Nurse to support the safe and effective execution of clinical trials in a fast-paced research environment. This role combines hands-on nursing care with clinical research coordination, working closely with Principal Investigators, study sponsors, participants, and the broader research team. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and support the execution of multiple clinical research protocols from start-up through closeout. Provide hands-on nursing care to research participants, including physical assessments, vital signs, phlebotomy, IV insertion, and administration of investigational products as permitted by protocol and scope of practice. Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with clinical procedures and study-related assessments. Screen and consent participants while ensuring informed consent, patient advocacy, and participant safety. Collect, process, and handle clinical specimens according to protocol requirements. Monitor participants throughout study visits and communicate changes in patient status, adverse events, and protocol concerns to the Investigator. Maintain accurate source documentation and clinical trial records. Support sponsor monitoring visits, audits, and regulatory activities. Collaborate with Principal Investigators, sponsors, monitors, laboratory staff, and other members of the research team. Identify and communicate protocol deviations and other issues that may impact participant safety or study integrity. Ensure compliance with FDA, HIPAA, ICH-GCP, and applicable regulatory requirements. Maintain clinical competencies and complete required research and nursing training. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license required. 2-5 years of clinical research experience preferred. Strong hands-on nursing/clinical skills, including phlebotomy and IV insertion. Experience with informed consent, participant assessment, and specimen collection/processing. Ability to manage multiple clinical trials and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong critical thinking, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of FDA regulations, ICH-GCP, and clinical research practices. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with investigators, sponsors, and clinical teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and clinical/research systems. Experience with laboratory specimen preparation and handling preferred.
