Help

• Performs administrative and management duties essential to office operation, including Human Resources management, budget and financial management, procurement and contract administration, and oversight of office equipment and property.
• Serves as the primary point of contact for all aspects of office budget preparation, management, and tracking. Plans and develops budget estimates, creates and monitor obligations, process reimbursements, and tracking expenses.
• Supports contract management by monitoring performance, processing invoices, and maintaining records. Coordinates contractor clearances, access, and equipment requirements. Provides backup support to the Contracting Officer Representative Level III.
• Oversees asset management by tracking, issuing, receiving, transferring, and disposing of equipment. Maintains accurate records and conducts annual inventories in accordance with established policies, procedures, and deadlines.

Residency Requirement : There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. This residency requirement states that candidates must have, for three of the last five years immediately prior to applying for this position; (1) resided in the United States; OR (2) worked for the United States Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or Military capacity, OR (3) been a dependent of a U.S. Federal or Military employee serving overseas.

Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a probationary period of 1 year.

Qualifications

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 06/25/2026.

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 06/25/2026.

GS-13 : You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing all of the following duties:

• Analyzing and managing budgets, preparing funding justifications, purchase card and procurement activities, ensuring compliance with federal financial regulations, and performing contract and property management using automated systems.
• Planning and overseeing human resources management, including staffing, personnel actions, position classification, pay and benefits, performance management, employee and labor relations, and training and development.
• Developing and maintaining communication between users and IT professionals, managing asset and property activities, implementing IT solutions, enhancing internal online presence, applying security and safety principles, and serving on inter-agency committees to address operational challenges and occupational health issues.
• Communicating concepts and legal requirements orally and in writing, serving as liaison for various administrative programs, preparing professional communication products for diverse audiences, and applying analytical methods to evaluate and improve program operations.
