Location: Houston, TX 77077 (hybrid after training period) Compensation: $60,000–$72,000 base, depending on experience Schedule: Flexible 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Travel: Local travel to branches, job fairs, trade schools, and recruiting events as needed

The Opportunity We are looking for a Bilingual Field Recruiter to join a growing HR team and take ownership of recruiting for the company's field operations. This is a newly created position designed to support the organization's continued growth and the increasing demand for qualified field employees. This is a true boots-on-the-ground recruiting role. You'll spend time building relationships in the community, attending job fairs and workforce events, partnering with trade schools and workforce organizations, and developing candidate pipelines for high-volume field positions. The ideal person will understand the commercial landscaping industry and know how to connect with the people who make field operations successful. A background recruiting within commercial landscaping is highly preferred.

Why They're Hiring The company has grown to the point where the existing team needs dedicated recruiting support. Currently, Branch Managers are responsible for much of the field recruiting, but their operational responsibilities make it difficult to consistently keep up with hiring demand. This person will take a significant portion of that responsibility off their plate and become the primary recruiting resource for field-level positions. The company currently has significant ongoing hiring needs, including:

• Landscape Laborers
• Inspectors
• Irrigation Technicians
• Field Supervisors
• Crew Leaders / Foremen
• Drivers
• Chemical Applicators
• Equipment Operators
• Other field and operational positions

There is also a substantial need for general landscape laborers, making this a high-volume recruiting environment with continuously changing staffing needs. The company also has an established H-2B program and brings on 200+ employees annually, so experience with seasonal or high-volume hiring is a significant plus.

What You'll Do You'll partner closely with HR, Branch Managers, Operations, and field leadership to understand staffing needs and keep a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates. Your responsibilities will include:

• Recruit for high-volume field positions across the organization's landscape operations.
• Build and maintain active pipelines of qualified candidates.
• Conduct proactive, community-based recruiting in the areas where employees live and work.
• Attend job fairs, hiring events, trade school events, workforce programs, and community events.
• Develop relationships with trade schools, Workforce Commission resources, workforce organizations, community groups, and other recruiting partners.
• Utilize employee referrals, social media, job boards, grassroots recruiting, and direct sourcing to identify candidates.
• Conduct initial candidate screens and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
• Partner with Branch Managers and operational leaders to understand immediate and upcoming staffing needs.
• Visit branches and field locations regularly to maintain strong relationships with Operations.
• Support on-site interview days and hiring events.
• Maintain accurate candidate information and recruiting activity in the company's systems.
• Track candidate pipelines, recruiting activity, hiring results, and other recruiting metrics.
• Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Assist with pre-employment and onboarding activities as needed.
• Represent the company positively in the landscape and field-services community.

What They're Looking For The biggest priority is finding someone who understands field recruiting and the commercial landscaping business. The ideal candidate will have:

• 2+ years of recruiting, staffing, or high-volume hiring experience, preferred.
• Experience recruiting for commercial landscaping strongly preferred.
• Candidates from construction, skilled trades, manufacturing, transportation, or other field-service environments may also be considered.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are required.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Comfort speaking with candidates directly in field and community environments.
• Ability to manage multiple open positions and constantly changing priorities.
• Strong organization, follow-up, and time-management skills.
• Experience with ATS systems, job boards, social media recruiting, and/or other sourcing tools.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for recruiting activities.

A Note on the Spanish Requirement Spanish is an important part of the role because the Field Recruiter will be interacting directly with the company's field workforce. The hiring manager is bilingual in Spanish, and approximately half of the interview will be conducted in Spanish to assess the candidate's conversational ability and comfort communicating with Spanish-speaking employees and candidates.
