Senior Specialty Representative What you will do In this vital role you will be the connection to our customers by providing clinical knowledge of our products to medical professionals and helping them navigate the complex payer environment. You will act as the primary customer contact, responsible for implementing a marketing strategy and promoting Amgen products as directed by the District Manager. Responsibilities Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate the clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization of the products. Act as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following‑up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets through both in‑person and virtual engagement. Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, customizing discussions and interactions based on customer needs, ensuring product access, resolving or triaging reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts. Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze the business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager. Partner with colleagues to share best practices and seek to learn and grow as a Senior Specialty Representative. Demonstrate passion for our products and sustain that passion through the entire sales cycle while building our brand and never losing sight of how we serve patients. What we expect of you We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The sales professional we seek is a motivated individual with the following qualifications. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare or scientific field that is not sales related. Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare or scientific field that is not sales related. High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare or scientific field that is not sales related. Preferred Qualifications More than 3 years of sales, marketing, and/or clinical experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, medical device, or medical supply industries. Product or hospital sales experience in the areas of oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, bone health, respiratory, hematology, or infectious diseases; and familiar with the diseases and treatments involved with these specialties. Advanced influencing and relationship‑building skills with a focus on sales outcomes. Local market knowledge. Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration. Benefits The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $115,036 – $155,638. Actual salary will vary based on relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
