Program Director, Family Foundations Home Visitor

Position Summary:

The Family Foundations Home Visitor (FFHV) Program Director oversees grant objective compliance with subaward sites. Provides administrative, fiscal, and technical assistance to FFHV sites. Assist with continuous quality improvement (CQI), ensuring Healthy Families American (HFA) model fidelity, and the use of Growing Great Kids curriculum. Daily attendance is an essential function of this position. Frequent travel to subaward sites is required.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

· Provide support for GLITC, County, and Tribal contracted staff. Encourage active involvement and support the implementation of specific plans with appropriate training, mediation, and team building.

· Provide leadership to collectively create the vision and plan to serve sites. Ensure compliance through proper monitoring and reporting.

· Maintain administrative structure and perform necessary tasks to ensure the effective execution of program goals and objectives.

· Maintain fiscal responsibility for all program budgets and development. Allocate expenses in accordance with program requirements.

· Remain current on federal and state monitoring compliance of grant which includes preparation and accurate recordkeeping.

· Oversee data reporting for sites to DAISEY data system which includes monitoring

· Stay current and trained with Healthy Families America model, Growing Great Kids Curriculum, and FFHV grant compliance from the Department of Children and Families (DCF).

· Conduct regular on-site visits to offer technical assistance to subawards which include financial reimbursements, hiring staff with reflective capabilities, staff orientation, required training, and subaward monitoring including HFA accreditation, policy updates, review performance benchmarks, and collaboration to create improvement goals.

· Update policies and review performance benchmarks.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assume full responsibility for assigned staff.

· Engage in ongoing networking activities to remain current on the availability of health and human services available to Native Americans.

· Assure that all services are delivered in a culturally competent manner.

· Engage in networking activities to ensure awareness of services available including Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), DCF grantee meetings, technical conferences, and other educational events to remain current.

· Participate in various committees outside and within GLITC as deemed necessary and appropriate.

· Attend all training sessions and meetings as scheduled.

· Perform other duties as necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.

Working Relationships and Scope:

Reports directly to the GLITC CEO. Supervise assigned staff. Regular contact with outside partners, various GLITC staff and committees for collaboration and grant requirements. On-going contact with funding sources, vendors, and suppliers. Regular contact with federal and state agencies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required: Master’s degree in public health or human services or fields related to working with children and families, or bachelor’s degree in these fields with 3 years of relevant experience, or less than a bachelor’s degree but with commensurate HFA experience. Must have demonstrated ability to independently initiate and develop health education and outreach programs and to communicate and work effectively with racial and ethnic minorities. Preferred: Experience with a Native American Tribal organization and/or not for profit agency. Grant writing and management experience . Individuals must possess proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, professional demeanor and appearance, problem solving skills, ability to manage time effectively, self-motivation skills, work effectively under pressure, ability to build positive work relationships with internal and external customers, ability to interact professionally with a wide variety of people, speak in front of groups. Individuals must be able to apply advanced reasoning skills to problem solving and use basic and advanced mathematical skills. Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with adequate insurance and the ability to travel.

This is a full-time exempt position based on skills and experience, with a pay range of $64,000 - $67,000 annually, depending on years of experience, relevant experience, education and populations you have worked with. This position is in our Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin office. This position is not a remote position.
