Recovery Support Specialist We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Recovery Support Specialists to join our team at a Sobering Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role focuses on supporting individuals experiencing substance use and behavioral health challenges by ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive environment during stabilization and recovery. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience up to $21 an hour 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance. Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility. Paid Time Off (PTO) + Paid Holidays. 401(k) with full vesting after 4 years (100% match on the first 3%, up to 5%). Primary Responsibilities Flexible Shifts – Days (7 AM–3 PM), Evenings (3 PM–11 PM), and Nights (11 PM–7 AM), Including Some Weekends. Monitor client safety, behavior, and stability throughout the sobering process. Conduct regular observation rounds using RFID monitoring technology. Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and emotional support. Screen clients for individual needs and readiness for change. Assist with assessments, referrals, and connections to community resources. Collaborate with medical and behavioral health professionals. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming facility. Assist with transportation and emergency response as needed. Qualifications Basic understanding of Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and behavioral health. Experience working with substance use populations preferred. New Mexico Peer Support Specialist certification or willingness to pursue certification. Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification. Valid New Mexico driver's license with a good driving record. Strong communication, problem-solving, and crisis management skills. Individuals with lived recovery experience are encouraged to apply.
