Chief Financial Officer

The client is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to guide its financial strategy, administration, and information technology operations. This position requires a thought leader who is committed to the organization's mission of addressing food insecurity through strategic investment, asset management, risk management, and performance enhancement. The CFO plays an integral role in the senior leadership team, establishing financial policy and direction while enhancing organizational strategy, culture, and talent development. They will report to the CEO and work closely with both the finance committee of the Board of Directors and the Senior Leadership Team. The CFO is responsible for driving long-term financial planning, forecasting, and risk management in alignment with the client's strategic goals. They will be involved in financial sustainability planning with the Finance Committee and Board, and they are tasked with developing financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic initiatives and program growth. Additionally, the CFO oversees accounting, budgeting, and reporting functions to ensure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit regulations. They collaborate with the Development team on financial data for donor reporting, grant proposals, and stewardship efforts, and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of annual audits and financial statements. Key responsibilities also include cash flow management, investments, and banking relationship oversight, as well as providing comprehensive financial reports to leadership and the Board. The CFO serves as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board, and senior leadership, guiding financial strategy and organizational sustainability efforts. The role requires someone who can effectively manage financial risk, maintain financial stability, and support the organization's mission through financial expertise and collaborative leadership.
