Manager, Industry Specialty Services

Job Summary:The Manager, Industry Specialty Services is responsible for maintaining client relationships, providing client support in the areas of accounting, contracts, and pricing, and overseeing assigned associates and senior associates. Job Duties:Ensures client compliance with the Service Contract Act (SCA) by addressing and resolving related compliance issues with client team Assumes responsibility for all projects phases and works directly with clients to accomplish project objectivesProvides direct and indirect cost rate structure design and analysis (including preparation of a comprehensive forward pricing model) Participates in bidding process for government contracts through preparing and negotiating equitable adjustment and termination claims as well as providing strategic pricing assistance, analysis of RFPs and cost proposal preparationInterprets Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) in order to make recommendations to clientsPrepares client Disclosure StatementsInterprets Small Business Administration Rules (SBAR) and regulations including minority participation requirements of the 8(a) and Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) programs Reviews and develops policies and procedures related to accounting, contracts and pricing for the client initiatives to secure new business, including but not limited to participating in Business Development meetings, developing relationships with clients and networking activitiesOther duties as requiredSupervisory Responsibilities:Serves as a member of the consulting group’s management teamSupervises, develops, and trains Associates and Senior AssociatesReviews and evaluates work prepared by Associates and Senior AssociatesTrains Associates and Senior Associates on how to use current software tools and Industry Specialty Services methodologySchedules and supervises workload of Associates and Senior AssociatesProvides verbal and written performance feedback to Associates and Senior AssociatesActs as a Career Advisor to Associates and Senior Associates, as assignedQualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another relevant field, requiredAdvanced degree, preferredExperience:Eight (8) or more years of relevant experience including experience conducting cost analysis, cost estimates, and proposals, requiredPrior experience researching Federal procurement issues, requiredPrior experience researching and drafting proposals. requiredLicense/Certifications:CPA, preferredSoftware:Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, requiredLanguage:N/AOther Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically business / report writingStrong analytical and basic research skills Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on detailsAbility to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environmentProven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously Demonstrated command of FAR, CAS, and GSA schedulesAbility to follow and apply specific rules and regulationsAbility to work with minimal supervisionIndividual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.National Range: $125,000 - $165,000NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $125,000 - $165,000Maryland Range: $125,000 - $165,000At BDO, how we show up matters.
