Clinical Instructor of Urology (Clinician Educator)

Overview The University of Southern California (USC), founded in 1880, is one of the world's leading private research universities and the largest private employer in the City of Los Angeles. The Department of Urology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC is seeking applicants for a Clinical Instructor of Urology (Clinician Educator) who will also serve as the Lead of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and Development . Responsibilities The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in collaboration with faculty physicians and multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include evaluating and managing patients with urologic conditions, coordinating care, documenting clinical encounters, performing and interpreting diagnostic studies, assisting with urologic procedures, and participating in clinical education. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Lead of APPs and Development will oversee APP operations and professional development by: Optimizing APP scheduling and outpatient care models. Supporting APP recruitment, onboarding, and training. Developing standardized educational curricula and mentoring APPs. Coordinating staffing, vacation, and holiday coverage. Leading quarterly APP meetings and collaborating on the APP Fellowship program. The successful candidate will maintain an active clinical practice while dedicating protected time to administrative leadership responsibilities. Details The position offers a competitive salary, comprehensive university benefits, and an academic appointment in the Keck School of Medicine of USC commensurate with qualifications, training, and experience. The annual base salary for this position is $237,300.00.
