About the Position

Job Title: Pharmacist Profession: Pharmacy Specialty: Pharmacist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Days Hours per Shift: 7am to 5pm, 7 days a week; call and weekends will be required Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: State pharmacist and controlled substance license - Required Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Competent inpatient pharmacist; experience with order entry, order verification, and compounding; experience with inpatient pharmacy operations; proficient with medication dispensing system. Description: The position involves working in an inpatient pharmacy department covering various areas including ER, ICU, and oncology. Responsibilities include compounding, order entry, and order verification. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations. There is a requirement to supervise pharmacy technicians. Shifts will follow a rotation every three weeks, which includes one weekend and one week of call. Weekend work is required every third weekend, with additional availability requested until staff stability is achieved. The work environment is casual, with scrubs provided. New hires must be capable of completing 1 to 2 weeks of training. Holiday coverage is required if it falls within the schedule rotation. An on-call duty exists every third weekend and additional nights as needed. Candidates must be proficient with Pediatric ADC stocked for floors and limited call-ins.
