You’ll be joining a spirited 5/6 school with an engaging program and passionate staff. With a student body of about 100 and robust support from a full-time interventionist and SEL counselor, you’ll collaborate in a nurturing environment. Under the guidance of a principal who is also a special education expert, your caseload consists of approximately 22 students with mild to moderate specific learning disabilities, primarily in math and literacy. This hands-on experience provides invaluable opportunities to expand your resume, deepen your skills with diverse approaches, and cultivate new leadership techniques.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Special Education licensure (or eligibility to obtain in Vermont)
• Experience teaching students with mild to moderate SLD in math and literacy
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Flexibility and adaptability for a travel assignment
• Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Deliver targeted instruction in math and literacy
• Collaborate with general education teachers, interventionists, and counselors
• Track student progress and adjust strategies as needed
