Responsibilities Engage in on‑the‑job training to learn how to manage the profitable operations of the assigned store. Maintain high standards for merchandising, placement, and store signage and use proper display techniques to create an inviting atmosphere for customers. Recruit and hire store associates to serve customers. Train associates on operations and merchandising, coaching and correcting when appropriate. Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations. Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, enforcing company policies and procedures. Perform opening and closing procedures as needed. Implement operational and merchandising direction communicated from corporate headquarters. Help the store reach its maximum profit contribution and protect company assets. Maintain a high level of customer service across the store. Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of prior retail management experience (hardlines or variety merchandise preferred). Experience in BIG BOX retail is a plus. Strong productivity management in freight processing. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills. Ability to work in a high‑energy team environment. Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
