You’ll have the autonomy to lead and the resources to grow—while making a difference for patients and families every day. Nocturnist position We are hiring for a Nocturnist position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours. Local Team Collaboration Join our close-knit team of 33 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers (APPs) at UF Health Jacksonville and UF Health Jacksonville North. Collaborate with dedicated clinical performance nurses and work closely with a wide array of specialists, case managers, and nurses. Be part of a Level I tertiary facility, where we engage in daily interdisciplinary meetings with key departments to optimize patient care. Qualifications Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine. Valid Florida medical license (or ability to obtain). Experience in a hospitalist or inpatient setting is a plus, but new graduates are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities As a hospitalist, you will handle complex cases in a closed ICU, with intensivist coverage during the day and night. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent care without the expectation of doing procedures or running codes. Collaborate with case management, nursing, and pharmacy to improve patient outcomes and streamline care.
