Aerospace Design Engineer - Brushed and Brushless Motors - Los Angeles area - Contract /DirectOur Client in the Los Angeles area is a leading provider of I nnovative Motion Control Motor and other Electro-Mechanical Actuation Devices for the aerospace industry. Due to expansion they are currently seeking a Aerospace Motor Design Engineer for a contract position that has the option to convert to a direct role with the company.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3 years experience experience with developing a product from concept to production the design development and manufacture of specialty fluid and motion control /motor products such as electro-mechanical actuation devices for demanding aerospace applications
- Some experience with FEA desired.
- Analysis and specification of electro-mechanical sensors.
- Develops manufacturing drawings in accordance with ISO Standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings schematics and computer-generated reports.
- Confer with system engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures resolve system malfunctions and provide technical information.
- Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
- Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills
- Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge
- Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software
- Self-motivated and highly organized
- Proficient in 3D CAD Solidworks modeling and FE analysis
- Candidates may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.
