Industry Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in need of an Interim Controller/CFO to take on a 6-month project, with a focus on leading the finance function in a manufacturing and engineering environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full accounting cycle, including month-end close, and will have full ownership of the balance sheet, ensuring financial accuracy through reconciliations. This role also involves managing a team of 4-5 direct reports and approximately 15 in total, overseeing AR/AP, journal entries, and weekly cash reporting. The Interim Controller/CFO will be expected to deliver monthly financial reports, and partner with various departments such as operations, supply chain, FP&A, and controls. Additionally, the role includes leading external audits and driving process improvements. Applicants for this position should have prior experience as a Controller or CFO, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering setting. Strong leadership skills and the ability to operate independently are essential, as is a background in managing complex balance sheets and audits. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, hands-on leader with advanced Excel and ERP systems experience, capable of quickly improving processes, scaling the function, and driving business impact.
