Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to emergency room patients in a fast-paced, acute care environment. Ensures rapid assessment, intervention, and coordination of care to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients upon arrival and prioritize their needs based on severity.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols and standards.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and their families about health management and discharge instructions.
• Document all nursing activities accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Previous experience in emergency or acute care settings preferred.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications from approved vendors required.
• Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and interpersonal skills.
