Respiratory Therapist
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day 4x12-Hour
Experience: Minimum 2 years required
License: State License required
Certifications: BLS, RRT
Patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Patient ratio is 1:35. Weekend requirement consists of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Two years of experience are required. First-time travelers will not be accepted. COVID-19 vaccination is required; medical or religious exemptions are allowed. Flu vaccination is required; medical or religious exemptions are allowed. Experience with the following skills is necessary: Aerosol setup for masks and trach. Albuterol and Atrovent administration. Basic EKG interpretation. BiPAP and CPAP management. Bronchoscopy assistance. Endotracheal tube care and extubation. Nasal and oral airway placement. Suctioning techniques. Ventilation support and troubleshooting. Ability to perform arterial punctures and interpret arterial blood gases. Experience with pulmonary hygiene and managing tracheostomies is important. Travel experience is highly preferred. Candidates must be compliant with all licensing and certification requirements. Lab items must be completed within 72 hours of accepting the offer, or a plan for completion must be in place.
