About the Position

Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Radiologic Technologist Duration: 8 weeks Shift: 8 hr day shift, Mon-Fri, Flexible start between 0615 and 0700 daily Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years as a radiology technician License: Current certification as a radiology technician Certifications: Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program Basic computer operational skills Strength required to assist with lifting, moving, and positioning of patients, moving equipment, and handling supplies Ability to work well with others and maintain a positive attitude while assisting individuals who may be under physical or emotional stress Ability to hear verbal communications, read and interpret orders, and document data correctly Description: Performs and processes radiographic and fluoroscopic radiology tests. Has working knowledge of all equipment used for radiological tests. Obtains images using appropriate equipment and knows how to transfer images to PACS. Documents tests and procedures via computer. Assists with office functions and clinical functions as needed. Helps with anesthesia, materials management, and performs pregnancy tests and EKGs. Assists with case cart checks and room turnovers. Maintains inventory of radiology supplies and oversees routine equipment maintenance. Checks the OR schedule daily and works with supervisors to provide coverage as needed. Possesses knowledge of aseptic techniques during testing. Maintains confidentiality of all records and information received in the course of work activities. Performs related and miscellaneous duties as assigned.
