Overview Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Grand Junction, Colorado. Start date 08/24/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours 32 per week. Shift: Days. Setting: hospital operating room environment. Weekly pay: $1,753–$1,906. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,753–$1,906 per week Guaranteed hours: 32 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Start date: 08/24/2026 Travel assignment in a hospital-level OR setting Responsibilities Perform the perioperative nursing role: preoperative assessment, nursing care plan formulation, operative care plan implementation, and postoperative evaluation of the patient’s response/outcome; document nursing care and outcomes Assist in setup and performance of cases by assembling equipment and supplies per sterile technique; open sterile packs, instruments, and supplies as needed Prepare each patient for surgery: position the patient correctly, prepare the operative site, confirm procedure and site with the surgeon and OR team, and assist with patient transport Conduct surgical counts (sponges, sharps, instruments) and document nursing care on legal records Assist in the clean-up of the operating room after surgery and ensure proper disposal of used supplies and sharps Requirements Active RN license One (1) year of surgical nursing experience Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to work in a hospital OR setting and participate in a travel assignment Alignment with day shift requirements Benefits and Support Guaranteed hours: 32 per week 24/7 recruiter and travel support Dedicated support throughout the assignment Extension opportunities Travel coordination and onboarding assistance About Healthforce Healthforce is a nationwide travel healthcare staffing agency connecting travel nurses and allied health professionals with high-quality contract assignments across the United States.
