Location: Northeast Portland, OR
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: $75,000-$90,000 per year (DOE)

We are seeking an experienced Excavation Project Manager to oversee heavy civil construction projects from contract award through completion. This role is responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, crews, subcontractors, equipment, and client relationships to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.

Responsibilities

• Manage heavy civil construction projects from contract award through completion.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and project resources.
• Monitor project costs, profitability, and contract compliance.
• Prepare estimates, bids, proposals, change orders, and other project documentation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional work.
• Conduct site visits and customer meetings.
• Collaborate with field crews, operations, dispatch, subcontractors, and accounting to ensure successful project execution.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company safety standards.

Qualifications

Experience

• 5+ years of progressive project management experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience managing projects from estimating and bidding through completion.
• Experience with excavation, grading, underground utilities, road and highway construction, and civil structures.
