Emergency Veterinarian

Bulger Veterinary Hospital (BVH) is excited to add another experienced Emergency Veterinarian to our well-established team! About Us Our busy, 24/7 practice located in Lawrence, MA offers Emergency, General Practice, and Specialty services—allowing for strong collaboration, easy referrals, and gold standard medicine for our patients. Originally established as a general practice hospital in North Andover more than 40 years ago, BVH has now expanded into a 16,500 square foot practice equipped to provide a full-service experience for our clients and our veterinarians. We offer specialty care in Anesthesia, Cardiology, Critical Care, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Rehabilitation, Surgery, and Theriogenology—in addition to our primary care, rotating interns, and 24/7 emergency services. The hospital is supported by nearby Ethos hospitals with Neurology, Oncology, Interventional Radiology, and an in-network compounding pharmacy. About the Position This position is full-time with an average of 14 shifts, including 4 weekend shifts, per month. All scheduled shifts will be in ER, focused on receiving or inpatient care. However, we can also support extra per diem shifts in urgent care as desired. If preferred, we also have an overnight-only option, which is full-time at only 10 shifts per month. We are looking for an energetic, personable individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who will be a contributing member of our highly collaborative veterinary team. The ideal candidate will be internship trained or have at least 2 years of clinical experience in emergency medicine. Experience in soft tissue emergency surgeries and willingness to work overnights are a plus! We seek to empower our doctors to explore their unique interests and work together to ensure the highest levels of patient care. Our emergency doctors have varied interest in soft tissue surgery, and we are happy to provide additional surgical training as needed for our doctors who would like to cut.
