Bell Avenue Nursing is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our team in Elk City, Oklahoma. As a Certified Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in administering medications in a conscientious and effective manner that protects the safety and welfare of our residents and the institution.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians
• Take and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, and pulse
• Prepare patients for examination by explaining procedures and assisting with positioning
• Assist with minor surgical and diagnostic procedures under the supervision of a physician
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization
• Collect laboratory specimens (e.g., urine, blood) and perform basic lab tests
• Maintain and sterilize medical equipment and instruments

Requirements

• Previous experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting preferred
• Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and patient care practices
• Ability to perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and administering injections
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
