Travel - Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Inpatient Rehab

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | 5 x 8-Hour Day Shifts | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | At least 2 weekend days per month required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform speech-language pathology evaluations and treatments for inpatient rehabilitation patients
• Conduct Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies as part of dysphagia assessment and management
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Meditech EMR system
• Manage a caseload of approximately 5 patients within a 15-bed inpatient rehab unit
• Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team including PT, OT, and rehab tech staff
• Float to acute care hospital areas as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license valid in the state of Texas
• BLS certification required
• Prior hospital experience is required; candidates without this will not be considered
• Ability to work at least 2 weekend days per month
• Professional demeanor with a team-oriented, energetic work style

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior inpatient rehabilitation experience strongly preferred
• Experience with CARE tool scoring
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
