Behavior Technician

Imagination ABA Therapy is a BCBA-owned and operated Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) provider, dedicated to delivering high-quality, ethical, and individualized services to children and families throughout New Jersey. As a Behavior Technician , you will play a vital role in our team, working closely with our certified behavior analysts and other professionals to provide evidence-based ABA therapy to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental needs.

About the Role:

• As a Behavior Technician, you will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavior plans and provide direct therapy services to clients

• Conduct behavioral assessments, collect data, and report on client progress to the BCBA and other stakeholders

• Develop and maintain a strong rapport with clients and their families, providing support and guidance throughout the therapy process

• Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based strategies and techniques

• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices and enhance clinical skills

Responsibilities:

• Implement and modify behavior plans as needed, ensuring that therapeutic goals are met and progress is measured

• Use positive reinforcement techniques, such as verbal praise, gestures, and rewards, to encourage desired behaviors

• Collect and record data on client behaviors, using this information to inform treatment decisions and track progress

• Provide ongoing support and coaching to clients and their families, empowering them to generalize skills and maintain progress outside of therapy sessions

• Maintain accurate and thorough records of therapy sessions, including client data, progress notes, and treatment plans

Requirements:

• RBT certification preferred but not required

• Experience working with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities, preferably in an ABA setting preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and other professionals

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes, schools, and other settings as needed
