MS-IL Staffing & Packaging and its local clients are NOW HIRING for 2nd shift Shipping Desk Clerk in the Plainfield IN , area!

Position: Shipping Desk Clerk
Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 4:30PM-1:00AM
Pay: $18.22
Location: Plainfield

J ob Summary :

A shipping desk clerk manages outgoing freight at a warehouse loading dock, verifying paperwork, coordinating with truck drivers, guard shack and logging data into warehouse management systems.

D uties and R esponsibilities :

Communicating with other departments and carriers via radio, Outlook, and TEAMS
Coordinating where loads go with the guard shack and spotter
Utilizing computer systems for data entry, printing paperwork, and overall warehouse operations
Proper placement of shipping labels on the completed pallets prior to staging.
Utilizing zebra printers (thermal printer) to print labels
Audit outgoing loads to maintain accuracy
General housekeeping of work area
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or manager

Qualifications Required:

Ability to show up to work on time and work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
Excellent verbal communication skills in English
Strong computer experience using Team, Outlook and warehouse management system
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task

Preferred:

High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous warehouse experience in a shipping department
