Staff Registered Nurse (RN) - Dialysis

Location: Anacortes, WA; Whidbey Island, WA; Smokey Point, WA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 10-13 hour shifts, AM & PM, working any day from Monday to Saturday.

Job Description: The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) will oversee the delivery of dialysis and the care of patients at Puget Sound Kidney Centers (PSKC). The RN will be responsible for providing education to patients, supervising Dialysis Technicians, adjusting treatment plans per standing orders, monitoring patient outcomes, administering medications, participating in quality improvement projects, and collaborating with other members of the patient's care team, including social workers, dietitians, and nephrologists. This position will cover multiple clinic locations, mainly Anacortes, Whidbey Island, and occasionally Smokey Point.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive education to dialysis patients.
• Supervise Dialysis Technicians and ensure quality care.
• Adjust treatment plans as needed based on standing orders.
• Monitor patient outcomes and administer necessary medications.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects.
• Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary care team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the WA State Board of Nursing or a Multi-State Compact Nurse license.
• Current certification of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Previous dialysis experience is required.
• Prior experience in acute or ambulatory nursing is preferred.
