Physical Requirements The employee must be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Sit on the floor and interact with children at their level. Frequently bend, kneel, squat, reach, and move throughout the classroom. Safely supervise children indoors and outdoors. Lift and carry children or classroom materials when necessary. Understand that frequent absences or tardiness affect children, coworkers, classroom ratios, and overall school operations. The teacher should be actively teaching, engaging, observing, encouraging, communicating, and building relationships throughout the day. Our goal is for every child to leave the Preschool/Pre-K program feeling confident, capable, curious, socially prepared, and excited about entering kindergarten, while families feel confident that their child has been loved, challenged, supported, and well prepared.
