5 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Position Overview The SEO Specialist will focus on executing specialized SEO tasks across all client accounts with high-quality standards and volume requirements. This role specializes in one primary area of SEO (technical, local, on-page, or auditing) and contributes to elevating this specialty across all client campaigns. The Specialist may oversee overseas freelancers but has less team management responsibility than the Senior Specialist role. Our SEO team operates through specialized focus areas that allow each team member to develop deep expertise while maintaining comprehensive coverage across all SEO disciplines. Each specialist owns their specialty across all client accounts, becoming the team's subject matter expert while maintaining high-volume execution standards. This specialized approach ensures comprehensive coverage of all SEO disciplines while allowing for individual growth and mastery. Specialists collaborate with other team members to ensure integrated strategies while continuously elevating agency capabilities in their respective focus areas. Key Responsibilities Specialized SEO Execution Execute tasks in one primary specialty area (technical SEO, local SEO, on-page SEO, or auditing) Maintain consistent quality and volume of deliverables across client accounts Implement best practices in specialty area following established processes Identify and address SEO errors/issues using Google Search Console and other tools Keep pace with industry trends and developments in specialty area Team Contribution Provide guidance to elevate specialized practices across client accounts Coordinate with overseas freelancers on specialized tasks when needed Participate in team meetings to share knowledge and insights Collaborate with SEO Managers to implement specialized tactics Document processes and successes in specialty area Maintain flexibility in assisting with tasks outside of core expertise to meet team deadlines and company priorities Technical Implementation Perform advanced site audits and implement recommendations Optimize on-site elements such as schema markup, internal linking, and content structure Implement and troubleshoot tags via GTM when required Analyze competitor strategies and implement improvements Reporting & Analysis Prepare detailed reports on specialized metrics Analyze and interpret data to identify opportunities for improvement Monitor performance of specialized tactics across client accounts Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis Document successful implementations for case studies Core Specializations: Local SEO Specialist Google Business Profile management and optimization (GBP setup, NAP optimization, review management) Citation building and cleanup across directories and local listings Local schema markup implementation (Local Business Schema) Geographic hub page creation and optimization Local keyword research and geo-targeted content strategy NAP consistency auditing and correction Local competition analysis and market positioning On-Page SEO Specialist Content optimization and performance enhancement Heading structure optimization (H1, H2, H3 hierarchy) Internal linking strategy and implementation SEO title and meta description optimization Featured snippet optimization and FAQ schema implementation Content gap analysis and improvement recommendations E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) auditing and optimization Duplicate content identification and resolution Technical SEO Specialist Site speed optimization and Core Web Vitals improvement Crawlability and indexing optimization Structured data and schema markup implementation (Article, FAQ, Organization schemas) Broken link identification and resolution Sitemap management and GSC optimization Redirect chain identification and cleanup Technical audit execution and problem resolution to migration and security optimization Onboarding & Analytics Specialist Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager setup and configuration Goal tracking and conversion optimization setup Performance monitoring and reporting systems Competitor gap analysis (content and links) Keyword research and ranking strategy development Website audit execution and strategic recommendations ROI tracking and performance measurement Data-driven strategy development and optimization planning Collaborative Approach Each specialist owns their specialty across all client accounts while collaborating with other team members to ensure integrated strategies. This specialized approach ensures comprehensive coverage of all SEO disciplines while allowing for individual growth and mastery. Specialists work together to: Share insights and best practices across specializations Coordinate integrated campaigns that leverage multiple SEO disciplines Cross-train on complementary skills to provide backup coverage Continuously elevate agency capabilities in their respective focus areas Maintain consistent quality standards across all client deliverables Qualifications 2-4 years of SEO experience with focus in at least one specialty area Strong technical skills and attention to detail Experience with SEO tools (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, etc.) Understanding of SEO best practices and latest industry developments Experience in legal, medical, or dental marketing a plus Comfort working with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to support research, ideation, and workflow efficiency Performance Metrics Quality and volume of specialized deliverables Contribution to client success metrics Process adherence and improvement suggestions Team collaboration and knowledge sharing Professional development in specialty area Our Core Values: Do What You Say Be Honest and Transparent Proactive, Not Reactive Be Thought-Leading Instill Trust Through Consistent Accountability Always Do Better, Always Be Better Do the Right Thing for Clients and Market My Market This is a salaried position with benefits such as PTO and Health Insurance available on first day of employment and 401k after 1 year. The budgeted salary for this role is $50,000 - $57,000 commensurate with experience. This position is fully remote but a preference will be granted to candidates in Charlotte, NC where we have an office.
