Audit Supervisor - Public Accounting
A growing CPA firm with offices in Scottsdale and Chandler is seeking an experienced Audit Supervisor to join its expanding public accounting team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients across multiple industries while leading audit engagements, mentoring staff, and contributing to the continued growth of a collaborative and client-focused firm.
The ideal candidate will have strong public accounting experience, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
Must-Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
- Active CPA license required
- 35 years of public accounting audit experience required
- Experience supervising audit, review, and compilation engagements
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement presentation
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines
- Strong client service and relationship management skills
- Excellent communication, analytical, and project management abilities
- Experience mentoring and supervising audit staff
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by gathering information, resolving issues, and identifying process improvement opportunities
- Perform and oversee financial audits while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with professional standards
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement presentation requirements
- Supervise, mentor, and train associates throughout the audit process
- Research and analyze accounting, financial statement, and audit-related issues
- Develop a strong understanding of client operations, industries, and business processes
- Manage engagement timelines, priorities, and deliverables across multiple projects
- Collaborate with firm leadership and team members to support overall client success
- Provide additional accounting and advisory support as needed
