Location Avera St Luke's Hospital Worker Type Regular Work Shift Rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays (United States of America) Pay Range $33.50 - $48.50 per hour Position Highlights Up to $15,000 sign‑on bonus Student loan repayment assistance Endless professional growth opportunities Competitive starting rate of $33.50/hr Relocation bonus available A Brief Overview Delivers nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis; establishing nursing care objectives; defining nursing interventions; providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends to understand patient conditions, medications, and self‑care skills; noting changing conditions and needs; re‑evaluating care objectives. Responsibilities Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions; communicate the nursing care plan and all pertinent information to other members of the health care team; coordinate with other healthcare providers. Co‑ordinate care plans by obtaining medical histories; examining patients; documenting patient condition; engaging families; developing diagnoses, objectives, interventions, schedules, and timetables. Teach patients, families, and friends on condition, medications, and self‑care skills; answer questions; provide information and resources. Evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measure health outcomes; review records; adjust care objectives; modify the nursing care plan. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy patient care environment by adhering to infection‑control policies, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations; comply with organization standards and legal regulations. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Keep patient care equipment operating by following procedures; troubleshoot; maintain supplies; perform preventive maintenance; call for repairs. Keep patient care supplies ready by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; stocking items. Maintain competence in nursing capabilities outlined by leadership.
