About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Medical Director for Clinical Development in Oncology. The successful candidate will be a key leader in the strategy, development, and execution of clinical research and development programs, with a focus on pivotal trials and regulatory activities. This role requires a passionate and creative physician with a strong background in global drug development, particularly in the oncology and hematology therapeutic areas. The Executive Medical Director will be responsible for trial design, supervision, and monitoring, as well as providing clinical input to the oncology corporate strategy. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' of clinical and managerial experience in drug development, with a preference for those with 10 years' or more. Global clinical development experience is essential, and experience in global filing is preferred. Key responsibilities for the Executive Medical Director include partnering with discovery and biology leadership, managing trial execution, and establishing relationships with key stakeholders. The role also involves providing medical and scientific input for clinical data, safety, and efficacy, as well as leading the clinical aspects of interactions with regulatory agencies worldwide. The candidate should be board-certified MD or MD/PhD, with a strong background in oncology/hematology, and must be legally authorized to work in the US. The position demands excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills, the ability to work in a matrix environment, and a commitment to the highest ethical standards in compliance with regulations and company policies. The Executive Medical Director will play a pivotal role in the company's mission to pioneer therapies that improve the lives of patients with serious diseases.
