Warehouse LeadNashville Branch - La Vergne, TN 37086OverviewPosition Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level High School Travel Percentage NegligibleDescriptionJob Summary: To assist the Parts Manager in the organization and overall functionality of the warehouse.Job Responsibilities:Coordinate activities of Warehouse staffCreate and foster a team environmentPrepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling material packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area for shipmentMaintain records of all activities and processes pertaining to the warehouseIdentify and document damages, lost, or surplus materials stored in the warehouse, file damage or loss claims directly with vendor.Maintains lift truck by completing preventive maintenance inspection sheetsMaintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing receiptsMaintain inventory records. Direct and perform monthly cycle countsMatch purchase orders to sales orders received and apply to inventory or customer sales orderMaintains quality service by following organization standardsMaintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat, maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules and regulationsEvaluate and recommend cost saving projects to reduce cost without resulting in a reduction of quality.Occasional duties assisting customers on parts counterAnswer phonesCarry out any additional tasks as assigned by the Parts ManagerQualificationsJob Qualifications:Must have High School Diploma or equivalentMust have a minimum of 5 years' experience in shipping/receiving, parts or warehouse environment, heavy equipment industry ideal.Supervisory or lead experience in a warehouse environment a plusMust have Three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distancesMust have strong planning and organization skillsExcellent written and oral communication and basic mathematical skills.Proficient computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office programsAbility to climb heights up to 15 feet, stoop, kneel, push, pull, twist, carry and lift up to 70lbs.Can operate a forklift/lift truckMaintain excellent customer serviceAbility to work overtime if necessaryMust be able to pass a background, physical, and drug screen
