Service Technician

The Service Technician at Mission Chevrolet is a full time, 25.00-50.00 on a flat rate role in the auto industry. This individual contributor position is located in El Paso, Texas and will require a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team. A transmission technician diagnoses, repairs and if necessary replaces transmission assemblies. They remove/disassemble units to repair and test drive vehicles to verify repairs made. Responsibilities include:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Repair and rebuild: Remove, disassemble and replace failed transmission components.
• Performing fluid flushes, leaks checks, and routine maintenance
• Recommend and carry out necessary repairs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of services and repairs.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest technology and techniques in the automotive industry.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Communicate effectively with advisors to explain repairs and address any concerns.
• Collaborate with other team members to meet team and dealership goals.

Requirements include:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years minimum previous experience as an automotive transmission technician in a dealership is preferred.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean record.
